Berlin. callas software, a leading provider of automated PDF quality assurance and archiving solutions, is a Gold Sponsor of the 19th ACM Symposium on Document Engineering. The ACM Symposium on Document Engineering is an international forum covering all aspects of document engineering and associated applications. For this reason, the PDF Association is organizing a half-day workshop on September 23, which Dietrich von Seggern, Managing Director at callas software, is helping plan. The workshop is titled “More than just digital paper—Hidden features of the PDF format” and will cover PDF tagging, embedded files, workflow functions and more. The goal is to help familiarize the audience with the most important features that have been added to the PDF format in recent years. Example applications will be used as part of practical demonstrations of how companies can achieve total digitization when exchanging PDF files—beyond just displaying each page in digital format.
