Image tekom annual conference 2014

Karlsbad. From November 10 to 12, 2015, technical communication experts will again converge on the International Congress Center Stuttgart (ICS). Across Systems GmbH will also be present at the tekom annual conference with a team of experts. At Booth B06 in Hall C2, visitors will get a first glimpse of Across v6.3 and various other new features in the product offer of Across.

An improved translation environment, external processing of documents in third-party systems, support of PDF and JSON files, and the use of mass operations for terminology maintenance purposes are just some of the new features of version 6.3 of the Across Language Server. The Across edition for translators also focuses on an optimized working environment. Numerous suggestions from the Translators' Advisory Board have been incorporated, such as the integration of personal translation memories and terminology lists. The official release of version 6.3 of the Across Language Server and of the Across Translation Edition is scheduled for the end of the year. At the tekom annual conference, visitors to the Across booth will get a glimpse of the new developments. For Across, the conference will also provide a fine opportunity to introduce an entirely new product.

Tool Presentations and Talks

As every year, Across will also take an active part in the conference program. This includes the tool presentations "What Is New in Across Language Server v6.3?" on November 10 at 1:45 p.m., "Across Markets: Networking of Purchasing and Sales in the Translation World" on November 11 at 9:45 a.m., and "Terminology to Go with crossTerm Now" on the same day at 3 p.m.

On November 10 at 4:15 p.m., Lissa Sum, responsible for Education and Certification at Across, will deliver a talk entitled "Your Translation Memory – Treasure Cove or Junk Room?". On November 11 at 4 p.m., Stefan Kreckwitz, Chief Technology Officer at Across, will talk about the subject "Eager for Synergy Effects? Authoring Assistance Meets CAT Tool".

Happy Birthday, Across!

For Across, 2015 is a special year: Apart from the new version and the product innovation, the company will celebrate its 10th anniversary. The birthday party – which will be open to all visitors to the tekom annual conference – will take place at the Across booth on November 11 from 6 p.m. On the three days of the exhibition, visitors will also be able to win a gift for every financial year.
